Reception Awards and nominations In 2007, Rolling Stone ranked him number five on the magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time". A 2012 interview with Trouser Press noted that, although Muddy Waters had made many recordings by the early 1960s, he did not officially record again until 1980, a span of 30 years. Legacy The album The Anthology 1947–1972: The Muddy Waters Story (1998), compiled by John Stronach, documents the life of Muddy Waters. The Village Voice observed that Muddy Waters "created the blues with Robert Johnson, who in turn gave it to Muddy, who, in turn, invented it for us all. ... No one person should have so much influence on your life, especially if he was that influential and that good. ... Muddy has never been better than in his old age." In the same publication, the Village Voice claimed that Muddy Waters was the last of the bluesmen, with his death in May 1982, to reach that status. TV Guide's list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" (2002) included Muddy Waters as number 82. Muddy Waters is featured on the blues section of the website, with Bob Dylan listed as the penultimate artist. The website states that he "transformed blues from a musical convention into a force of artistic, cultural and political change." His 1965 single "Got My Mojo Working" was listed as the number one 'boogie woogie-style' song of all time by the German magazine Soul Express in its annual tradition of listing the top ten songs ...[vga8] Muddy Waters - The Anthology 1947-1972 (2001)Mp3[CR-Bt] -17-MAH_LL-S13.mp3:181.28 MB · 1920x1080 · 25 FPS · 16:9 · Mono_WAV · 1 Mar 2016 This is an official release of his 1964 single "Muddy Waters Blues For...
